Attention Entrecard Users
Hello folks,
I created two scripts to help you with finding blogs that have Entrecard widgets on them.
The first script gives you the list of the latest bloggers who dropped their Entrecards on you. The list reads your Entrecard XML feed, reads all the listed profiles, and gets the real blog URLs of those users.
This script is very useful as it allows you to reciprocate card dropping thus increasing the number of drops you get. Here is the address of the find out who dropped their entrecards on you script.
The second script lists all blogs for a selected category. This is very useful when you want to drop cards on blogs that belong to a certain category. Here is the address of the find blogs listed in a particular entrecard category script.
If you would feel that you benefit from using these scrips, then pass me some EC points :) or write a post in your blog about these scripts (please link to this page and not to the scripts in your blog posts) or consider subscribing to my RSS feed. Thanks! This is really great and should make it easier to return card drops.
You are quite welcome. There are two problems currently:
1. the wait time is around 50 seconds, but I cannot do anything about this. the script needs to make 51 call to the entrecard web site to get the addresses of the sites…
2. the sites listed are not filtered, meaning that you get the list of those who dropped on you and you reciprocated and those who dropped on you and you did not reciprocate yet.

It will also pull in PR of each page. Lots of cleaning up I need to do on it just haven’t had the time…
Thanks John, I would definitely check your script. I now plan on modifying my script so that it would be running lets say every 30 minutes or so and recording all those who dropped their cards on your blog. This way by the end of the day a report could be generated that would include the addresses of all blogs that dropped cards on you.

Angie, I appreciate the points you sent me :) I am in the process of developing another script that would list the blog url for chosen entrecard category - this would make it much easier to browse blogs by category.
