I was thinking about email marketing for long time and made quite a few attempts to build my own list. The biggest problem that I always had with email marketing is the risk of getting spam complaints and as a result having your hosting and Internet accounts terminated. So, even though I collected quite a few email addresses (I created my own sign up scripts) I never actually emailed them.
A couple of days ago I decided to seriously look into email marketing. A friend of mine recommended me to consider the services offered by aweber. I looked around and was quite amazed by what they offer. Actually, there is absolutely no limit on what you can do (the number of forms, autoresponders, etc.) with a list of up to 10,000 subscribers. If your list becomes larger than 10,000, then you have to pay an extra fee.
So, I signed up at aweber (I paid for one full year and saved a good amount). The site is extremely easy to use and I was able to get two campaigns up and running in a matter of 10 minutes. I added the signup forms to one of my low traffic site and in just one day I got 4 subscribers. This is just amazing. I am kicking myself in the butt for not subscribing earlier. The thought of how much money I did not make is just killing me.
I strongly advise anyone to consider getting an account at aweber and start building your lists.
