Well, a lot of bloggers start writing posts analyzing the quality of Entrecard traffic. Here is a link to a good article in which the blogger is trying to answer the question of whether Entrecard marketing is help or hinder.

I totally agree with all the points he made and I also see Entrecard as a hinder to my blog development. Instead of spending time improving my blog, working on increasing the number of back links, or writing content I waste my time dropping cards…

My hourly rate at work is 75$/hour… to drop 300 cards I need to spend 1.5 to 2 hours…

What could be done in 2 hours?

1. At least 3 well researched high quality articles could be written and submitted to article directories or posted in a blog.
2. At least 20 comments could be written on two or three different forums.
3. At least 20 comments cold be left on different blogs.
4. This time could be spent with the family! Can someone put a price tag on the value of spending time with the family?

So, I am with Entrecard for now but I am dropping only 80 to 100 comments a day (mostly reciprocating the drops received). I am not sure for how much longer I will stick around though.
