What is Technorati rank and why is it important? Technorati is a company that attempted to bring together all the blogs that exist on the Internet. Currently, Technorati has more than 50 million blogs listed.

The blogs that are listed in Technorati are organized by a rank. The Technorati rank is in a sense similar to the Google PR (Page Rank). The Technorati rank is a representation of the authority of a blog and the authority is based on the number of incoming links to the blog pages. So, the blogs made references to your blog, the higher its Technorati rank would be.

The table below would give you an idea on the number of links you need to get to your blog in order to get a rank in the displayed ranges:

How to get those links? First of all, you need to add your blog to Technorati. The process is very simple. Once you added your blog, Technorati will start tracking the links to your blog and will assign it a rank.

Leave comments whenever possible (and not possible LOL), install the “Comment Luve” plugin, write posts that other bloggers would naturally want to link to. These are just a few suggestions on how to improve your Technorati rank.
